Sitting close to the NC State bench during the Wolfpack’s game against Ole Miss offered a revealing look at how Will Wade coaches — and more importantly, what he values. From that vantage point, one thing became clear quickly: Wade doesn’t coach the scoreboard. He coaches habits.

Early in the game, Darrion Williams was pulled within the first four minutes for failing to close out on a shooter. As Williams came to the bench, Wade immediately let him hear about it.
