RALEIGH – The NC State women’s basketball team released a competitive non-conference schedule for the 2018-19 season on Thursday. Featuring 14 total dates, the schedule includes nine regular-season contests inside Reynolds Coliseum and one exhibition. The schedule includes eight postseason teams from a year ago and the opponents on the list concluded the 2017-18 season with an average RPI of 120.

Following a Nov. 1 free exhibition against Anderson University, NC State opens the season with four straight home games between Nov. 7-18. The Wolfpack opens the regular season by hosting NCAA Tournament participant Belmont (RPI 57) on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7 pm. Also included in this opening home stand is a Sunday, Nov. 18 contest against WNIT participant Radford.

The Wolfpack takes to the road for the first time when it travels to Mexico for the 2018 Cancun Challenge. NC State will compete against WNIT participant Michigan State on Nov. 22 and NCAA Tournament participant George Washington on Nov. 23.

Following the Red & White’s return to the United States, the team will host NCAA Tournament participant Michigan Nov. 29 in the ACC/B1G Challenge, Old Dominion on Dec. 2, and Hampton Dec. 5. The game against Hampton will tip off at 10:30 am and will be an Education Day event in partnership with the Wake County Public School System.

The final four non-conference games of the regular season will be split between home and road dates. NC State will play at WNIT participant Georgetown (Dec. 8) and head coach Wes Moore’s former school and WNIT participant Chattanooga (Dec. 21) while hosting NCAA Tournament participant Maine (Dec. 15) and Davidson (Dec. 30).

In Atlantic Coast Conference play, NC State will host rival UNC-Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Duke, 2018 national champion Notre Dame, Miami, Clemson, Pittsburgh, and Virginia Tech. A full league schedule will be released in the coming weeks.

NC State enjoyed a tremendous 2017-18 season, winning 26 games and returning to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007. The Wolfpack posted a 16-2 record on Kay Yow Court that included two NCAA Tournament victories. The achievement of going 16-2 at Reynolds Coliseum marked the second best home record in 44 completed seasons of Wolfpack basketball.
