The 23rd-ranked NC State men's soccer team began its season with a victory for the second straight year on Friday evening, defeating visiting USC Upstate 3-1 at Dail Soccer Stadium.
NC State will play two of its next three matches at home. The Wolfpack visits No. 4 Akron on Monday, Aug. 27 before coming back to Raleigh to host Presbyterian on Aug. 31 and William & Mary on Sept. 3.
