TOP 10 OFFENSIVE PLAYS: No. 10 Jakobi's Grab vs. Syracuse
July is here, which means football is right around the corner!
Today we're starting a month-long feature at Inside Pack Sports where we look back at NC State's top offensive and defensive plays from the 2017 season.
The plays are selected on a variety of factors, ranging from level of difficulty, overall impact, importance to the game/season, etc...
James, Steve, and Bryant reviewed the best plays and submitted their top ten plays on each side of the ball. We put together a composite list, and we will be releasing each play daily, so enjoy!

Our No. 10 offensive play from the 2017 season is this tough, contested catch by NC State wide receiver Jakobi Meyers in the Wolfpack's home win over Syracuse.
Meyers had a breakout season, and this catch by Jakobi was a beauty.
Really it's a play that could be higher in the rankings. You see him use his size and athleticism to go over the top of the defender, grab the ball with two hands and secure it with one hand before going to the ground.
Meyers is running across the field, away from quarterback Ryan Finley, and the defender is actually in really good position. The ball was slightly underthrown and could have been intercepted... it would have been a big play for Syracuse given the score was 3-0 at the time.
However, Jakobi is able to climb the ladder and secure the catch. This is one of the things he gives you from the slot position... superior size. Most teams have slot receivers who are 5'9 or 5'10, but Meyers is a legit 6'2 so he gives you a larger catch radius in the middle of the field, down the seam, and on out-routes.
The former quarterback will return to this list later, but for now, Jakobi Meyers kicks off our Top 10 Offensive Plays with this outstanding catch in the win over Syracuse!
