Now we earn the right to play #1 Georgia on their home courts.
Texas beat Georgia 4-1 this year. And UNC beat Georgia 5-2. So by the transitive property, we can definitely beat Georgia.
Of course I know you can't predict it that way. But we got a damn good shot. Being in their home court in front of a hostile crowd will make it tougher for sure.
Looking ahead to the Georgia match….Georgia lost 5 matches this year (21-5 record), but all of those 5 losses were away from home. They were 10-0 at home, including a 4-0 win over Auburn, the #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Goes to show how big of an advantage you get from a home crowd. I think it sucks to hold the NCAA championship final site on the home courts of one of the top seeds like this, giving them this big advantage.
But like I said in my quoted post, Georgia has lost to Texas and UNC (on the road), who we beat. So we have a shot.
