Hate seeing this. So much change around campus.

Watch this go like East Village. Promises to re-open on ground floor just for the plans to get lost somewhere and it to be gone. Surely there can only be but so many cheaply built $2000/mo "luxury" student apartments.

First, as someone who built one of those complexes, they are not cheaply built.

Second, the biggest issue with Amedeos is the roadway improvements on Western that will eat up the majority of their parking. So, the story is misleading a bit in the main reason why they will need to move.

I know change happens but I hate seeing places like this go out.

With its history, tradition, and lore, I agree with you. That said, I never eat there, it's not a friendly place for a gluten-averse diner.

It's been a minute since I've been myself. Wish them the best and hope everything works out for them.

Sadly, even if they relocate, it won't be the same. Same with places like Charlie Goodnights Comedy club. Just not the same since it moved over to the Village District.

Will be interesting to see what happens. Hope the story has a positive ending one way or another...

Same. I know that I've said it before, but I seeing these old time places go and or move. On a side note, I see River View is open during Easter weekend, may have to make a trip.

Hey, if you are going to be down here, let me know where you are staying and when you will be here and I'll drop off a bottle of bourbon (or whatever you like to drink) outside your front door... you don't even have to meet me or anything. Like a "dead drop" from the old moonshining days...

Thanks. We are still working out the details and seeing if this trip is doable. River View is one of our favorite spots.

I'm going to hit you on this just one more time and then I won't bring it up anymore... I'm sincere and I'm serious. I promise it will be handled totally anonymously and pain free.

You are one of the more level-headed posters around this place and I just wanted to do something nice for you in return for the way you go about interacting with people here.

Appreciate that. Same to you as well, I'll let you what we plan on doing. I'm trying to convince the wife that the drive and lunch is worth it…lol
