Truly a massive W for NCSU women's soccer.

An improving Virginia Tech team entered Raleigh at 2-0 in the ACC. The Pack, now 2-1-1 in the league, now has tiebreaker leverage over the Hokies.

Next up is a match at Wake Forest on Sunday. That's another important match in ACC play.

I went to the VT game. I would argue that VT was outplaying us for the first 20 minutes or so of the game (more shots, controlling the ball and keeping it on our defensive side more often). Then we scored the first goal and just a few minutes after that, VT got a red card when they injured Jade Bordeleu. Following that, with us playing 11 vs 10, we dominated the rest of the game - more shots, controlling the ball majority of the time, and two more scores.

I think it must have been either an ankle sprain on Jade. After she was checked out by the trainers, they had her jogging and high stepping on the sideline to see if she was ok, and she was ginger on it but moving alright. But then shortly after that she was walking real slow and then later got crutches (probably just because it swelled up and was painful). I suspect/hope it's nothing too serious and maybe just a sprain.
