Unfortunately, as far as the UW goals went, Markovic had a disastrous night. Misplayed a header that lead to the first goal and just got plain out worked on the second one. He's an amazing player. Just had a bad couple of plays.

The one receiving the ball wasn't offsides. I think it was #9 who came from behind our RB (#13) and shielded him from working to the ball but he didn't really try to get there so didn't see it as an advantage.
It was a really good game and a really good season. That was a lot of pressure in the box tonight. I haven't seen use struggle with it until tonight.

This team got embarrassed in the ACCT by Syracuse. It's a testament to everyone involved that after getting trounced like that, we ended up here.
Huge sports guy but admittedly don't watch a ton of soccer anymore.

Heartbreaking that we have the best Defender, Goal Scorer, and Goalie in the country, playing at home, against a team from 3000 miles away who didn't even think they were going to make the tourney and couldn't get it done. Guess that's why you play the game.

Healy's goal to tie it up gave me flashbacks to Landon Donovan scoring vs Algeria back in the day. Totally different situations but the same rush of pure joy.
Is Free Bird always our goal song or was that something just for the college cup? I liked it a lot. The Carter would go nuts if we played that every time we scored a TD.

Exactly my thoughts.
Congrats to UW. They played as the aggressor all night. We struggled to match their energy. It didn't help that the ref called one of the worst games I've seen in a long time. Hopefully we'll be back next year.

I mean they were 2 goals down with like 12 minutes left. NC State **** is when your up big and some wacking call thats never been called from page 300 of the rulebook gets called which changes the direction of the game and State loses.

Free Bird is the song NC State always plays when they score a goal at home games. It is a cool tradition. To your point about Carter-Finley, I could see it also becoming quite popular if it were always played when the Wolfpack scores touchdowns.
Perhaps the coolest song tradition that NC State has at its men's soccer matches is when the Wolfpack wins home games. Once the clock hits zero, the regular lights go down, the red lights go on, and then they immediately play, 'Raise Up' by Petey Pablo: North Carolina, and it really pops. That is another one that would hit well at football games, in my opinion.

Basically decided the offsides player didn't impact the play when he came back into an onsides position. If our defender tried to fight through him more it would have been easier to call it back.

Yep....he was off. That is called all day in games at multiple levels
I didn't see on the replay, but did the sideline ref initially flag Washington for being offside?
