Numerous ranked wins for the Pack across doubles and singles action brought forth a 4-1 win over 49th-ranked Florida State on Friday night.

Improving to 11-1 overall, 23rd-ranked NC State men's tennis picks up its third consecutive conference win after starting league play last weekend. The win also marks the third consecutive ranked victory for the Pack.

The Pack heads over to Coral Gables to face No. 62 Miami on Sunday at 12 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

Following his official visit two weeks ago, Lachlan McFadzean (UTR 12.90) of Australia has signed with @PackMensTennis and will join NC State for the fall of 2026. The 19-year-old has an ITF juniors career-high ranking of #191 and an ATP singles ranking of #1218.

Big win to upset #15 Notre Dame. I went to the match, and it was a great atmosphere in that 3rd set on Court 4 in Sabaliauskas' match that decided the dual, with the entire crowd focusing on that match and cheering.

They are 14-1 so far this year and are currently tied for 1st in the ACC with a 6-0 conference record, but the schedule gets much tougher going forward with #2 Virginia next weekend, and then Duke and #4 Wake Forest after that.

Sabaliauskas fought off two match points in Set 2 to force a third set, and came through in the clutch for the win 5-7, 7-6(4), 6-3.

"It feels amazing," Sabaliauskas said. "Thanks to all the guys for the support. They were incredible, they gave me so much energy to play with. That was the main thing that kept me going."

"It's pretty clear that we got a lot of guys that love to compete," said head coach Kyle Spencer. "… It's a high pressure situation. [Sabaliauskas] hasn't been in that position, being last match on, but he handled it very well."
