Might have to have an IPS meetup. I'm seriously considering making the trip from TX if we make it.

I live in the Raleigh area, only about a 15 minute drive from where I work to WakeMed in Cary. Major props to you if you come that far. But might be worth it, considering the program last made the NCAA quarterfinals in 1992. Have they ever made the semifinals? Regardless...historically speaking, these things don't happen very often. Best to take advantage of the opportunity to see it in person.

NC State last (and only time to date) reaching the national semifinals was in 1990.

State wins! College Cup games are Friday night with the championship game on Monday night in Cary. Tickets still for sale general admission like $45 for Friday's games and $35 for the championship.

NC State defeats Georgetown, 3-2, at Shaw Field in Washington, DC to advance to the College Cup in Cary, North Carolina.

It will be the Wolfpack's second Final Four appearance and first since 1990.

Extremely impressed with how cynical we were to kill that game off. Very easy to see how they have prevented scoring. It's not the most pretty thing to watch but it's how you wins games

Yup. Do it till the ref makes you stop. Towards the end of the game the ref did stop the clock multiple times where it would normally run to prevent the time wasting. You could hear the Georgetown coaches screaming about it through the TV.

Also, pretty cheap challenge by the Georgetown kid on Erb. Could've seriously injured him with that crap. Could also hear the Georgetown bench screaming that Tyler Caton has been "diving all effing season" when it was pretty clear he probably (fingers crossed it's not) suffered a season ending knee injury. Classy.

I believe that the ticket will give you entry to both semifinals. I purchased mine via the site (Ticketmaster) a couple hours ago. The only option is one ticket for the semifinals. I saw where it lists "5:00 pm", but there is no option for the later start time.

Yeah it's likely like basketball's final four, one ticket gets you into the single session.

The first game is at 6 PM and ours is at 8:30 PM. Since it's general admission will probably roll in around 8 PM or so.
