First rankings are out, with the Pack coming in at #9 in the southeast region. Teams 4-9 are separated by an incredibly thin margin, so there's a lot of potential to move up as the season progresses. We're in a pretty decent spot.

Pack trailed for most of this one, but really turned it on in the final 10 minutes to flip a late deficit. 5 different goal scorers tonight, 4 of them freshmen.

Pack will stay on the road to face George Mason (ACHA D1) tonight.

After Saturday's disaster, Pack find a way to get it done against a terrific Army team in front of a packed barn at Fort Liberty. So much more fight from this group after a lifeless performance on Saturday.

9:30 pm start time at home! Man, I'm getting older and I need to go to bed at around 10:30 - 11:00 pm. I know that it depends on when you can get ice time, but ideally I would love if the games could start around 7:00 to 7:30 pm.

Close game through 2 until things really snowballed in the 3rd. Pack were a bit rusty out of the gate but eventually the depth took over. We'll do it again tomorrow night.

The Icepack rallied late for a 7-6 win over the Canes Alumni, scoring 4 goals in the final 7:15. The final minute provided the highest of drama with Dan Prazma drawing a penalty shot on an Eric Staal tripping infraction, which he would convert to tie the game with 55 seconds remaining. Jake Gifford then stuffed home the winner on a loose puck in front with 19 seconds left, giving him a hat trick for the evening.

The Raleigh hockey community was treated to an entertaining and spirited evening, with Canes goals from fan favorites Rod Brind'amour, Eric Staal, Erik Cole, Bret Hedican, and Mike Commodore. The entire game video is available here for anyone who missed it.
