US Track Nationals take place this coming Thursday-Sunday (July 6th-9th). NC State is well represented here with both alumni and current athletes.

Alumni and school record holder Cravont Charleston will compete in the Mens 100m and 200m.

Just graduated Alum and school record holder Cameron Murray will compete in the Mens 110m hurldles.

former NC State athlete Jada Griffin (transferred to NC A&T for last year) will compete in the Womens 400m.

Just graduated Alum Savannah Shaw will compete in the Womens 1500m.

Current star athlete Katelyn Tuohy will compete in the Womens 5000m along with two other Alumni, Elly Henes and Hannah Steelman.

Just graduated Alum Allie Hays will compete in the Women's 10000m.


Also incoming Freshman Angelina Napoleon will be running at the U20 Nationals in the 1500m and 3000m Steeplechase.

USATF Championships begin today, with no coverage on the NBC broadcast network. Here is the TV and streaming schedule:

Biggest domestic event of the year in track and field and not only is it not being televised on NBC like it normally is, it's not even live on Peacock tonight. The only place you watch Day 1 of the US track and field championships is with a USATF.TV subscription. And then the USATF will unironically ask why elite running doesn't draw in good viewership.... What a terrible organization that does nothing but harm this sport.

and to further demonstrate the USATF's grift, the stream you have to purchase as that is the only way to watch the events this evening is terrible quality and stuttered all through the mens 800 heats. Ive seen better stream quality from cross country and trail races held in the middle of nowhere. Embarrassing for the sport.

incoming freshman Angelina Napoleon is the US U-20 3000m Steeplechase champion! Ran the whole race by herself and it was her first time at the distance (HS runs a 2k steeple) and she still ran a 10:15 that would put her in our top 10 all time.

Pack alumni + Tuohy showed out well in the women's 5000m tonight. Elly Henes with a solid race to take home 5th place, Katelyn Tuohy taking home 7th place and Hannah Steelman finishing in 18th.

Henes tried to go with the leaders when Alicia Monson kept upping the pace slowly every lap to keep it honest, always respect that kind of race. Tuohy wasn't ever in the race with the leaders i think she got caught off a bit by Monson's strategy and honestly im sure NCAA's still weighed on her mind if she moved too early. But she had hte 2nd best close in the field after the winner Elise Cranny which is incredible after such a long year and this was a much better performance than last year at USA's.
