The announcer never fails to disappoint. Is it Carrie Tollefson? Same as last year where she continually made the wrong observations.

Relive the moment Katelyn Tuohy won her second National Championship of the weekend!!#WolfpackTF - #GoPack pic.twitter.com/xt9BMqL8xX
He's the same as Dan O'Brien who made the weird comments at Millrose about Tuohy. They are legends in their events but know very little about others. And the distance runners they do get for announcing are usually pretty ditzy or not good filling air time. Though i did think Kyle Merber was good at NCAA cross nationals.GuerrillaPack said:The male announcer. I think it was Dwight Stones.toddl said:

That definitely seems like a good possibility - that she could skip the indoors and outdoors in the spring of 2024 in preparation for the Olympics. I'd love to see her at NC State as long as possible as well, mainly for cross country and the pursuit of more team national championships. It seems almost certain that she will be back for the fall of 2023 for cross country, and trying for the 3-peat. And this seems somewhat unlikely, but she would have another year of XC eligibility left after that and could come back for a potential 4-peat in the fall of 2024, a few months after the Olympics...and then turn pro after that. She has talked in many interviews how much she loves cross country and being part of a team...so she may not be able to resist using all of her eligibility, and not missing out on one last season of collegiate cross country.jadawson said:
But to your larger point, with my fandom I of course selfishly hope Tuohy exhausts her eligbility her and runs every season she can. But if she has a goal of qualifying for Paris '24, it might be best for her to go pro after XC next year so she can open and time her seasons properly to peak for US trials and the Olympics.
It's very true, but i think her main draw to XC is team titles and not individual ones and Im not sure where our team is going to be in 2024 with Bush/Chmiel/Tynismaa out of eligibility by then.GuerrillaPack said:That definitely seems like a good possibility - that she could skip the indoors and outdoors in the spring of 2024 in preparation for the Olympics. Yeah, I was just thinking about our team chances in 2024 for XC. If Tuohy came back, you could potentially have Starliper (if healthy), Rauber, and Grace Hartman on the team with her. So that would be 4 key pieces of the caliber needed to win it all. Then you just need 2-3 more to add to the mix -- and that seems feasible given that they've been landing at least 1 or 2 great transfers per year for the last two or three years, and/or if at least 1 or 2 of the freshmen from the classes of 2022 or 2023 can develop and contribute.jadawson said:It's very true, but i think her main draw to XC is team titles and not individual ones and Im not sure where our team is going to be in 2024 with Bush/Chmiel/Tynismaa out of eligibility by then.GuerrillaPack said:That definitely seems like a good possibility - that she could skip the indoors and outdoors in the spring of 2024 in preparation for the Olympics. If she does think we have a chance in 2024 she could just redshirt indoors and outdoors 2023 so she maintains eligibility just in case. With her success im sure shoe companies are throwing contract offers at her so it might be hard to resist.
Yeah we could be a very good team in 2024 but i guess we'll see what the improvement is in 2023 for our runners. Sadly i just want to see Starliper finish a season at this point, outside of 2022 spring track she's struggled a lot in staying healthy. Rauber was good and improved all throughout last xc but didnt really show that shes a lock for all american/pushing top 30 like Bush has the last 2 seasons or top 10 material like Chmiel has shown. The way we've beaten New Mexico/BYU recently is that we've had mulitiple top 20ish runners and its hard to project that in 2024.GuerrillaPack said:Yeah, I was just thinking about our team chances in 2024 for XC.
