NC State Assistant James Johnson Will Not Return

NC State assistant basketball coach James Johnson will not return next season.

Johnson was the first hire head coach Kevin Keatts made after taking over the program in March 2017 and has been on staff the last five seasons.

This was a personal move for Johnson, who informed Keatts of his decision.  Various factors played a role in Johnson’s decision.

Sources have indicated NC State will look to fill the position with a nation-wide search.
