RPI won't come out for a couple more weeks, but the 11-4 start has put us in great shape for getting back to the NCAA tournament a quarter of the way into the season. Today against Duke is a non-conference game, but probably a matchup against future bubble teams. Followed by 4 games this weekend. 3 should wins (Lehigh, NC A&T twice) and one high profile game against consistent top 25 team James Madison.

Then we will go full swing into conference play hosting Notre Dame.

NC State was unable to find an answer for a solid Duke team Wednesday evening at Dail Softball Stadium. Duke, who was receiving votes in both top-25 polls this week, came away with the 5-1 victory.

UP NEXT

The Wolfpack will look to get back on track with a four-game home stand at the NC State Invitational this weekend. NC State plays host to Lehigh, #24/25 James Madison and North Carolina A&T.
