Funny how many people(mostly people on Twitter I should say) loved to point to LSU and Louisville as to why Keatts shouldn't be able to use the investigation as an excuse for his recruiting and overall program success. I thought that was dumb anyways considering Will Wade is a known cheater and Louisville has much more National relevance recently. But seeing Louisville's program fall apart under Mack really provides some vindication against those arguments I must say

What's really funny is that Louisville "falling apart" is still ahead of us in the ACC standings.

Point taken. But I'll take the direction we are trending this season over them. To me it just enforces the fact that entering another coaching search is not an attractive option. Mack to me seemed like such a solid option for them and see where they are now. Let Keatts show why he has been considered a good recruiter now that the cloud is gone. Don't mean to throw the thread too off topic just an observation with that news breaking today

I can't disagree more. Honestly, where are the long time state fans in here? Do we not remember Herb Sendek's boring basketball? Or Sidney Lowe? How about Mark Gottfried? Y'all are really trying to vilify the first actual coach we've had in 25 years? We lost an almost guaranteed first team all ACC in the first 38 seconds of our season. The rest of our team is talented, but super young. That's where we're at. Keats is solid, but he's had some **** luck with recruits and injuries. Let's give him a break and see what happens when the world isn't crumbling around him every year.

Dude, we've seen Keatts teams be effective against zone defenses. A freshman made some bone head passes last night and your conclusion is Keatts was confused?

Not having a seasoned big really hinders State vs a zone. If basketball coaches weren't the most stubborn people on Earth. every team would run it vs us.

Dowuona will be in his 3rd year and a returning starter. It's not exactly curry chicken but it's pretty seasoned, IMO. lol

Is the real question you want to ask, "will we have a good big next year"?

We definitely need to bring in another really tall guy, IMO. Not sure that Phillips will be ready from the get go. Not looking for Oscar Tshiebwe type transfer (that would be nice) but maybe a little bit better than Danny Davis.

I don't think Phillips will be a real ACC player next year but having a 7' 250 lb body will be inherently helpful for this team haha

Manny is not coming back, nor is Seabron, or Hellems, obviously.

This roster that is getting smoked by Carolina right now will miss all three, as upgrades are not arriving.

Why do Keatt's teams give up so many wide open threes?

This game is getting embarrassing. Keatt's defense is on pace to give up over 100 points right now.
I hate be negative, but I feel sorry for our young men not being put in a position to succeed.

Ok, then who does anyone know is coming in next year to replace the production of Hellems and Seabron? What recruits are we leading for that will bring the drastic improvement we need to not completely suck and be humiliated?

So now that we're back to recruiting... What do we think of Mintz? Based on the comp, seems like a guy we should be able to get if we want him.

He's extremely good

I know it's easier said then done but the typical 4 man class needs to be two guys on the level of Mintz, a grad transfer and a younger transfer in my opinion. That in most years, this off-season is going to be wild.
