Prayers up for Seabron's junk.

At the end of the game, Seabron experienced the sensation we Pack fans feel about five years after hiring each new basketball coach.

Basically just him throwing shade on Instagram. After Dillingham posted pics of his visits to state and UNC (posted state first), Shak commented on the UNC one and was like "yeah, I like this one". Just thought it was a ****ty thing to do, if you're gonna move on, then move on.

Oh right, i do remember that. Still Wish Shak had stuck it out. He was an absolute bulldog. Youre right though - not a good look for him. Jokes on him too since Dilly is coming here

Man what a disappointing class.Hall never made it to campus. Shak and Farrar as long gone. Jaylen doesn't look very skilled to me. Cam is not a good ACC point guard(hasnt shown it thus far). Who would have guessed that Ebe would end up being the most productive kid in that class for us. Yeesh

Who did Keatts bring in the year prior to that one with Hayes, Moore, Farrah, etc?

Seabron and AJ Taylor. Lecque was also a commitment in that class.

We can't even lose correctly. Tough beat for FSU -3 bettors. The only joy in this team is emotionally hedging and making money off them. If they take that away what's left? (That's tongue in cheek for the few mouth breathers.)

It's weird with Coach Keatts. With our lacking roster we shouldn't even be close in the games (that's a decent sign )... ..yet he put the roster together (with a NCAA cloud over his head ) KK needs to find a home somewhere else for most of the roster…. A Massive talent overhaul is needed.

We cannot close a game to save our lives. Seabron and Smith combining for 55/81 points is also an issue
Westwolf

Keatts is failing at nearly every aspect of being a head coach. I'm starting to agree with those who argue, with supporting evidence, that KK is a glorified high school/AAU coach who is in over his head coaching in the ACC.
Westwolf

That last play reveals KK's coaching: no pick or screens to get guys open, three guys standing still, no plan B if they double team Seabron…
OldTuffy

But…you have no evidence or examples of bad coaching. So shut it.

Keatts has got to hit the portal for impact players. Scrambling for players like Jaylon Gibson at the last second have obviously not worked out for him, Would have rather gotten a transfer or just not used the scholarship

Lol sorry that went over your head. I agree with you.

The gross overreactions are so crazy to me. Roster overhaul? Over his head coaching? Glorified aau coach?

A few weeks ago we had #1 team on their heels. We only lost by 2 points tonight. Its not like we aren't competitive. I think we can all agree that the roster isnt there. Point guard play is so important in KK's system and there isn't a high caliber pg on the roster. I feel like at the end of the day we have a ton of role players and not enough impact players.
OldTuffy

Gross overreactions are message board 101and we thrive at it. So you're saying we do need a roster overhaul?

Depends on your definition of a roster overhaul. To me, it means turnover 50%-70% of the roster. I think we just need to add 2-3 impact starter caliber players. We have a lot of good talent on the roster but they are mostly role players.

We also would have been a completely different team if DD didn't get hurt last year

I agree to an extent. I also think its reasonable to expect a team not to completely unravel after losing one player, especially in year 5 of a coaches tenure. I think that's probably more the issue many on here have

Manny would have made the guards look like they were purposefully letting opponents get by them to get swatted away rather than uncontested layups. He would also have dunked the hell out of some of those Smith airball 3s. That's not a knock on Smith (keep shooting!), just a fact.

I actually saw a few set plays when Pass was at the point in the FSU game. I can remember seeing movement and screens and passing. I did visit the beer fest prior to the game so I could have imagined the entire thing.

I agree to an extent. I also think its reasonable to expect a team not to completely unravel after losing one player, especially in year 5 of a coaches tenure. I think that's probably more the issue many on here have

  • Lost a major player who was one of the top big men in the league in Manny
  • Likely lost another player in Gannt who was expected to play a significant role
  • Have a PG who seems checked out for some reason
  • Have no on-court leadership from veteran players
  • Have a team where two-thirds of the players are still very raw and inexperienced

That's an incredibly tough combination of factors to overcome... yet we have been in every single game. So while I'm discouraged by the losses, I'm encouraged that this team has potential to get it going.

Cam has been a huge disappointment this year. I still can't get over that inbounds pass against Purdue out of my head. How in the hell can the freakin starting PG on your team make that pass. I get that things happen but my God...

The random pull up jumpers are also very frustrating

So you agree with me that losing Manny hasn't caused all of these problems, and also he would not have fixed all of them haha if he doesn't have veteran leaders, and if 2/3 of his roster is raw and inexperienced, that's kinda directly the fault of Keatts, since he is the one who is in charge of putting the roster together. I like a few of our pieces, but we don't seem to function too well as a team, at least not for long stretches of a game. But I do genuinely like Keatts as a person and wish he would succeed, and it's no fun continuing to make the 1.5 hour drive home after a loss, so I do indeed hope they get it going!

Yep Cam has definitely been a letdown. He is talented, but he for the most part has looked lost out there. If he could figure it out the team as a whole might be much more successful
