We need a Manny replacement for next year, Phillips likley isn't giving us anything next year. We need a big from the portal.

We all know how much Manny improved from year one to two. How do we know our guys (ebe and Gibson) didn't improve a ton where you can take a a guy who is ready physically, but needs some skill work.

Well for one Manny improved from year 2-3, but everything I've heard about this team so far this year, the constant negative is "they need to find someone who can play minutes at the 5"

I don't like Gibson at the 5. Not above average strength or athleticism. He would get mobbed down low for rebounds.

This isn't a knock on Gibson, but he doesn't have the mentality needed to bag down low. He'll be best served being developed as a stretch 4

Shawn Phillips: 4/3 star we lead
Deante green: 4/3 star we lead
Donald Hand: 4 star top 3 from the looks
Justyn Fernandez: 4/3 star unsure
Daniel Skillings: 4/3 star likely top 5
Jett Howard: behind Michigan that's all that matters.

We might not all love all of these developments but one thing is unarguable: basketball recruiting has certainly heated up over the past week or so! At the very least it gives us something to talk about

He has an offer but i'm not sure how hard the staff is pursuing him. Might be a backup option to Phillips

Yes we won't land Howard and I think it's a waste of a visit but at the same time it is great to be able to get recruits to live sporting events again and have them on campus.

I don't think its a waste with the ~transfer portal~

Its hard to coach your son sometimes. If things don't work out then we can maybe get him down the road.
