It's hard to find very much video on Shawn, but in the one I saw, he appears to have good hands and good touch around the rim. Do we think he is our #1 center target for 2022?nryanh94 said:

"Put in the effort"...ok lolTheStorm said:I told you already that I forget he's even on the team a lot. He's been a non-factor regardless of how you want to slice it. I'd rather have someone that actually has an upside to play those minutes... you know... to maybe help the team win? - or be better in the conference tournament this year - or overall next year even?Packfan8 said:TheStorm said:Give him whatever slack you need to. What I said is that he has had little to no impact on the success (or non-success for that matter) of our team in regards to succeeding. He stands around without the ball and he either shoots or passes it back. Simple fact. Maybe he's a friend of yours or something - or maybe you are just overly sensitive about a pretty innocuous post.Packfan8 said:TheStorm said:Probably explains the injury text I received today... I've honestly never been more underwhelmed by and "reasonably big name" transfer in my entire life... not trying to knock him (I forget he's even on the team a lot if I'm being truthful)... just saying what I truly believe.Dennis Smith III said:
I've heard a rumor that Allen may transfer
He's gone through hell with his ankle. played through injury at Nebraska, then 2 surgeries once he got here to fix the problems at Nebraska and now he's out for the year with what I believe is the same ankle. I think we should give him some slack
Do you mind explaining what angle you might be coming from? He is a liability on defense. He can't create his own shot on offense. He likes to stand still on the perimeter... and can I say that he is a liability (plays none) on defense? He took a lot of minutes from people that might have actually benefited from those minutes... seemed to me like we invested - and wasted - a lot of time in him in general.
If you are thinking about from an individual perspctive and not a politically corrective, passive, no accountability view.
He hasnt been very good.
Don't know the kid or have any ties to him just coming from a human with compassion I can feel bad for someone who is dealing with a lingering injury. Someone who has started at two different power 5 schools isn't a bad player. He averaged over 7 ppg for us this year while shooting 38% from 3. That shows he's in fact a good player. Not sure why you're so uptight and upset at Allen.
Novel thought, huh?
*And all this was true before the injury as well. Hope he finds somewhere to play where he is actually willing to put in the effort and not expect stardom to just magically come to him while he stands within the same 7' radius of the court waiting for an open shot.

Ross fouled out with 6 points, he's pretty raw not sure he helps much next year.
Yeah, yesterday wasn't a good day for me obviously, but I still don't think we will miss him if he leaves... some other guys are making good use of those minutes right now.HungryWolf92 said:"Put in the effort"...ok lolTheStorm said:I told you already that I forget he's even on the team a lot. Had 20 rebounds in this game. Dude is a big boy in the paint. Plays on a YPSI Prep team that has a national schedule with pretty good competition.

Competition looks really high level for high school. Big physical kid, looks like the type of guy we want at the 5.
I also read where he was breaking down each of his 7 finalists, and one thing he mentioned liking about one of the other schools (I believe it was Ohio State) was that they play a slower pace and really get their bigs involved. We have certainly done a much better job of getting our bigs involved over the last several weeks, but if he's looking to play at a slower pace, then we might not be what he's looking for. But that would definitely be a dynamite class!Packfan8 said:Jaywolf27 said:metcalfmafia said:wolfpackjb said:It's hard to find very much video on Shawn, but in the one I saw, he appears to have good hands and good touch around the rim. If we could land a 3 man class of Shawn, rice and Epps we would be solid. Shawn could play behind manny and then come in and be the starter in year 2
