Seems like we are at least putting forth some amount of effort with this guy. I could be totally off-base here, but I just have to wonder if this has anything to do with Thomas Allen. We certainly don't need another smaller guard, unless we were going to lose one. I just wonder if this ankle issue is something that's going to stay with TA, and he might not be willing to keep going around in circles with this. I haven't heard anything about Allen leaving state but I've heard rumblings that some people believe he might call it quits with basketball altogether because of this injury but if that's the case I would rather replace Allen with someone who has 1 year left unless they are going to come in and be a starter right away. Give him whatever slack you need to. What I said is that he has had little to no impact on the success (or non-success for that matter) of our team in regards to succeeding. He stands around without the ball and he either shoots or passes it back. Simple fact. Do you mind explaining what angle you might be coming from? He is a liability on defense. He can't create his own shot on offense. He likes to stand still on the perimeter... and can I say that he is a liability (plays none) on defense? He took a lot of minutes from people that might have actually benefited from those minutes... seemed to me like we invested - and wasted - a lot of time in him in general.
If you are thinking about from an individual perspctive and not a politically corrective, passive, no accountability view.
He hasnt been very good.
I told you already that I forget he's even on the team a lot. He's been a non-factor regardless of how you want to slice it. Don't know the kid or have any ties to him just coming from a human with compassion I can feel bad for someone who is dealing with a lingering injury. Someone who has started at two different power 5 schools isn't a bad player. He averaged over 7 ppg for us this year while shooting 38% from 3. That shows he's in fact a good player. Not sure why you're so uptight and upset at Allen.
