People with bad/stupid takes say that when they are wrong and it gets brought back up. That isn't policing it's just facts. As for NCSU having all of these built in advantages.. strong disagreement there. Agent and Co are fighting with one had tied behind there back a lot of the time. That's been noted by basically anyone who is involved or close to the program. And yey, they deliver a great squad basically every year. He's a hell of a coach and is doing an awesome job this season with all the hurdles and slumps they have had to navigate.

The staff has done a good job of figuring out the pitching roles over the course of the season. Not an easy job with so many new faces settling into key roles and some injuries as well. They deserve lots of credit for that.
In terms of rubbing some people nose in finishing the season strong let's give that a rest. This program should be performing at this level every year for the most part. There are so many built in advantages for NC State baseball staring with the talent base that is available in the state of NC and being a flagship in the state.

Let's talk about the built in DISADVANTAGES that Avent has faced in his tenure here...just to name a few...

• Facilities...surely you've attended a game or two in Raleigh right? Remember that time we hosted a regional in....WILSON b/c our facilities were finally getting an upgrade so we could actually host a regional IN Raleigh for once.
• The other high level programs in the state currently. Duke, unc, ecu and Wake (along with us) are all nationally ranked programs. 5 teams in NC ranked in the top 20...5 schools trying to land homegrown talent...By the way, facilities at those programs are much better than ours.
• unc was able to CHEAT their way to several conference championships, College World Series appearances and two national runner-ups. They had the winning runs on base to win it all in 2006. Did all that by cheating their way to it. Beat us in 2013 with what should've been an ineligible player.
• Resources and support. Wasn't until Boo Coorigan got here did Avent (or Ray Tanner before him) get any actual support from Athletic Department leadership. This could probably go under facilities but whatever.

I'd say let's give the negative "well, actually" sht a rest and maybe rejoice in the way these kids are playing baseball right now. There are several stone cold stud humans going out there every day and giving their all for NC State.

And yeah, if someone can make a negative post when sht ain't going so hot then they should be able to take it when the sht turns to sugar and folks wanna remind them. But that's just my opinion and it ain't worth much.

Speaking of policing, this one is teetering on being done.
