Back in 1998 a friend who worked for Walnut Creek Amphitheater got me in backstage for Ozzfest, mainly because I was a Tool fanatic. All I had to do was work for a bit in the cafeteria trailer for the crew... basically dishing out crappy food to roadies. The stars of course only ate in their private trailers.

Which made it pretty jaw dropping when Ozzy walked in! He was in pretty bad shape even back then, but he and Sharon got in line with the crew, I dished him out some green beans, and he sat at a table nearby and ate.

He was definitely one of the good ones. RIP.

That's awesome man, I saw him 4 times but never had that experience. He really was a great dude.

Btw I'm still a pretty big Tool fan myself.

Love Ozzy, love Tool.
A lot of the rockers from the 70s and 80s will be gone before we know it.
