I wasn't apart of the White House staff so I have no idea. But the optics to your average person didn't look good. When I post here, I'm trying to get people to look at the issue as a average voter. As far as Newmax, yes, I make them my morning news. Yes, they are partisan! I do not watch anymore than one hour, each morning, during the week. After that, when I can, I watch Steve Bannon's program, on Real Americas Voice. In the evening, I watch Tim Poole on his YouTube channel. Occasionally, I will watch the local news (usually WRAL), for weather, and some local news.

Now you know my means of news and talk.

As far as how I interpret these news and talk programs, well, I know which ones are partisans (they all are) and I am ok with that. BTW, Steve Bannon and Tim Poole uses news clips from other sources and plays them, so we can see what and how the other sources present the story.

For me, it's truly fascinating how two different sources present the same news, so differently. In fact, as I type this, Newsmax is showing excerpts from MSNBC on the current Wall Street Journals article on Biden's competence.

Partisan news is fine, and fully in line with our nation's media for the last 200 years. You can look at a few different sources across the spectrum and still get a pretty accurate worldview.

People confusing editorial pieces (that now dominate cable) for news or even worse getting their "news" from randos on Twitter is the problem, not partisan news.

Exaggerate much Cary?

I've posted a grand total of one of Filipowski's tweets on here, ever.

And in that tweet he was quoting Newsmax, a news source that many/most righties on here agree with or at least don't have a problem with.

And most importantly, the Newsmax report Filipowski tagged was factual.

2000 Mules distribution was terminated because the producers and distributors couldn't produce evidence in court to defend themselves against defamation lawsuits filed by those in the film.

Like I said before, you can think Filipowski is a partisan hack all you want but that doesn't mean he and Newsmax were wrong here.

Actually, I had a life to attend, then went to bed. Civ, only one post, by Filipkowski? Well, perhaps this thread needs to be locked and deleted.

As far as Newmax, yes, I make them my morning news. Yes, they are partisan! I do not watch anymore than one hour, each morning, during the week. After that, when I can, I watch Steve Bannon's program, on Real Americas Voice. In the evening, I watch Tim Poole on his YouTube channel. Occasionally, I will watch the local news (usually WRAL), for weather, and some local news.

Now you know my means of news and talk.

As far as how I interpret these news and talk programs, well, I know which ones are partisans (they all are) and I am ok with that. BTW, Steve Bannon and Tim Poole uses news clips from other sources and plays them, so we can see what and how the other sources present the story.

For me, it's truly fascinating how two different sources present the same news, so differently. In fact, as I type this, Newsmax is showing excerpts from MSNBC on the current Wall Street Journals article on Biden's competence.

I get it, it's as old as the day is long. As for the X " news " I just laugh it off.

Any chart that has CNN in the left "leaning" column and Fox News in the "far" right column is automatically not a legitimate source. I did note that at least the chart does now admit ABC, CBS and NBC as left "leaning" whereas previously it had all three in the center.

Chart itself may be on a different thread, but you'll know what I'm referring to at least.

CNN has definitely had more conservative content in the last couple of years.

Regardless, being pedantic about the chart is silly. You can't make a chart like this and have everyone agree whether this news source or that one, is sorta left, or far left.

Broadly, CNN is clearly left. Fox is right. There are other, more centrists sources.

Just pick a few of these sources from different columns and you get a pretty balanced take.
