Anyone who is currently a student (or currently has a student at State) --
What is the yearly tuition right now?

And then books, room & board, etc.

I'm doing my annual overview of my various financial planning documents.
I still have a number of years until my kids will be in college, but I like to update the figures as often as possible to reflect the current costs/trends.

(and yes, I know it's A WHOLE LOT MORE than when I was in school, haha)

Thanks

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I had two sons that have graduated there in 2017 and 2019…and all in was about 18k annual for school, food and living (in state). I suppose if you put your kid in the glorious new apartments near campus, you might pay more!

Yeah, I think when our son, who just graduated, was on campus and on a meal plan, we were paying NCSU around $9-$10k a semester. When he left campus, the bill was closer to $5k a semester with a $750/mo apartment.

My understanding is that yes, you can spend it on any education-related costs.
Tuition, books, room and board (while attending school), etc.

Yes, you can.

Only up to the amount that the dorm (on campus) would cost you. So if you chose an off campus apartment you can only claim/ use up to what the dorms would cost if your student lived on campus.
