I think this picture says it all. I am sure the three women on the right will be attacked by the woke mob and activists, but what they did with this action tells you how they feel about this situation.

Just look at the physical size difference in that picture.

I watched a video on Twitter this morning where a person who supported Thomas being able to race against women was arguing with another spectator who did not agree with Thomas being allowed to race, during the event. In the video, the guy was arguing that the lady was not a biologist, so she could not comment on the impact of biology on the race. The woman replied, "I'm not a veterinarian, but I know what a dog looks like." Pretty much summed it up.

Thomas went through male puberty and only recently began hormone therapy. The hormone therapy has not had time to undo the gains Thomas had from going through male puberty. I am afraid this whole argument is lost. Anyone who disagrees is labeled as transphobic and attacked. For example, if a state enacts laws to protect the integrity of women's sports from biological cheaters (I consider Thomas to be a cheat), the NCAA has said they will not allow any of their championships to be hosted in those states. The NCAA is fully on board. Why? They are afraid of litigation. The ACLU has already made it clear that they believe allowing biological males (by the way, they reject this language) is right and they will litigate against any state or body that attempts to limit biological males from competing against women.

Again, I encourage people to watch the video I posted last night and listen to the mother of an Ivy League swimmer. At one point in the video, you can hear her breakdown and starting crying. Being a parent, I can understand how this issue is tearing her up. She explains her objections very clearly and discusses the impact this is having on females in all sports where this policy is allowed to continue.

On espn yesterday, they were discussing this. Another parent of a swimmer said that if their daughter was drug tested and showed any sign of testosterone, she would be disqualified.

I actually hope some "dude" does this just to make a mockery out of the entire situation.
There is a joke in there about no way he'd score 50.

But to your point in general, I'd agree. This trend doesn't belong....there are some lines that don't need to be blurred.

I look at that picture and think -- the size difference is crazy....

Keep women with women, men with men, and if we want to do trans stuff, make a trans division. This isn't about discriminating, this is about keeping things fair.

Thanks for posting this article Mormad. I found Gyorgy's letter to the NCAA to be very balanced and she made some very good points that should definitely be considered for future policies. Unfortunately, I am not optimistic the NCAA will make any significant corrections, but hopefully my pessimism is wrong and the NCAA will make adjustments in the future.

Reka Gyorgy had her twitter account suspended because of this.

Queue the lefties cheering private companies and capitalism. Women's rights have been flushed for trans rights.

Apparently, the account that was suspended was not her account - it was a fake account. I hate the guys who run Twitter as much as anyone, but they should suspend fake accounts.

Agreed. I was roped in. Seeing their recent history (suspending the Babylon Bee account this weekend), I found it easy to believe though.

I did see a tweet for Pat Forde, who's daughter is in the pic, that it was out of context. It was a momentary snapshot but didn't represent what the real story was.

Could well be true, though I'm not sure Pat Forde is exactly the guy I'd trust on this matter

I sympathize with trans women who have a passion for competitive sports, but there are times (and it's probably not all that frequent) when you just think the good of the many outweighs the good of the one. I don't know what the solution is that's fair to everyone, or if there is one.

I think it would be fair for trans women to swim with trans women, women to swim with women, and men to swim with men. If there isn't a trans division with your new gender, swim with the gender you were born with.

What this swimmer did is juke the system for her own benefit. She knew it wasn't fair, but that the woke would protect her, and cancel any that openly disagreed. What she and the left are doing is what should concern people about being "fair" to everyone.

Homosexuals have participated in sports for many years. Whether their sexual choice was know to their teammates or not, apparently it wasn't too much of a deal to most when they found out (granted, some loudly objected, but seemingly few).

I feel the fair thing to do would be to allow the trans athletes to compete in any sport of their choosing as long as they were on the team of players of the same sex that he or she was born as. If the athlete is good enough to make the team that way, then fine. If not, find something else to do.

The trans players may claim that they aren't homosexual, but their alignment with them in the alphabet of identification encompasses what they have chosen to become. I see this as a fair way to embrace their inclusiveness demands.

I don't think there would be many if any trans people who would agree to trans sports divisions since the whole point is to be accepted as the gender that you identify with. I don't think there is a solution that's always fair to everyone. But I also guess (?) it's pretty rare that this becomes an issue - not that that makes it better for those on the losing end when it does happen.

This whole thing is an exercise in attention seeking and narcissism IMO. Surely this swimmer doesn't feel as though they are some sort of trail blazer for inclusion by obliterating physically inferior competition. In fact, they are ironically likely setting back their acceptance among a group of people that may normally have been allies to their cause. If there aren't enough transgendered individuals to make up a separate division, then I'm sorry, you don't get to be a competitive swimmer.

That was the question I asked my wife. What happens if a volleyball player decides they will identify as female. In volleyball the net height is different for men and women.
Adidas is already setting the stage for these sick individuals. Adidas's "Impossible Is Nothing" campaign, which focuses on promoting equitable and inclusivity in sports for all athletes is tied into their NIL program. Look at their commercial that runs constantly on the ACC Network. It includes Tifanny Abreu, The first trans woman to play in the Brazilian Volleyball Superliga,
Waited since 1983 for the breakout year.
