based on what? have you seen any draft boards with him on it? serious question because i haven't. also, seems like the staff might be recruiting like he will be on campus.

absolutely not saying we get him for sure, but to say he will probably go pro seems like a stretch as of right now. the guys on the pod seem optimistic too

edit to add- he isn't on perfect games top 300 draft board either. only Head, Dudan and Marohn

Having a son who is in the same class and has been on the circuit with Alm for a long time I can tell you this guy can hit. There is no comparison to a guy like Upton who was a showcase warrior. If I were going to question a tool of Alm's the last one would be hit. This guy has always played at the highest level and hit.

Landon Church itoolsey guy kind of emerged late. Wouldn't surprise if he finds way into lineup.

So do you think both would be in the lineup if Alm stays after the draft?

I think it's 50/50 with Alm. Because of his age he will demand a massive/above slot bonus. He has a ton of leverage and will be expensive to sign. Might scare some teams away.

Congrats to Dudan and actually good scenario to be on a rebuilding team with a clearer path to the show.
The A's, currently in Sacramento, will be in Las Vegas by the time Dudan is in AAA and on cusp of making it to the show.

O's have drafted like 40 college OF's the last 5-6 years and most of them have all stalled out. Hopefully Head breaks the mold but don't love the landing spot for him.

Orioles now have probably the three best defensive center fielders in the minors with Head, Brasfield and Honeycut.

Honeycutt can't hit a lick. Career .175 average so far, struck out 178 times last year and over 100 already so far this year. Honeycutt won't be around much longer if he can't hit .200.

I think Nate George is probably better than both but not sure how much CF he'll end up playing.

Yea that was always the thing with him, above average defender with plus power but can't hit.

My thing is the Orioles should be LOADED but all they're guys somehow end up regressing. Idk what they're doing but they've had like three first overall picks and multiple top 10-15 prospects that just haven't panned out.
