Hopefully can get an ACCT soon. It's been waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. I thought Avent was gonna eventually get one. Maybe Hart can.

I guess I just don't understand the infatuation with an ACC tournament title?

It means absolutely nothing and making a run in the ACC tournament usually hurts your pitching for the next week.

I know IPS retweeted that, but there's zero chance those numbers are accurate and that account only has a couple hundred followers. Definitely some high dollar teams sitting at home, but no way those numbers are right.

I know Chysler is still employed, BUT if a move was to be made, Tennessee fired their pitching coach after just one year (he has been on their staff for a few years). UT fans are happy, of course, but Tenn has had some really good arms recently. Would be curious if Hart would reach out if needed. Tenn was 49th in the country in ERA and 10th in WHIP this year.

I heard playing 5 games in 5 days can limit NCAA tourney success in MBB too.

An ACC tourney title is gold. Dont discount it. Next time we win one you'll celebrate like it's 1992

Is Hart going to hire any outside assistants? Or keep everything as is and promote JT? Nothing against JT at all (think he has a bright future) but would be a disappointment if he didn't try to shake things up a little bit. FWIW I would rather keep JT compared to Chysler so not slander to JT

I read they dont expect Jake Gautreau back. Would be a nice hire, 2019 assistant coach of the year at Miss State and was MSUs recruiting coordinator/hitting/infield coach. Was also ECUs hitting coach but no idea how they hit this year.

Could be a different guy, but not sure

Gautreau came to ECU from Mississippi State along with Bobby Austin, who is currently ECUs Director of Player Development. Austin actually graduated from NC State so there could be some connection there. I could see them coming as a package deal?

Seems like it would be a good hire! He has recruited a lot of high level dudes at Miss State the last few years, and now ECU has some solid players. The relationships should certainly help in the portal if it happens

Palumbo? That would be surprising.. He's their Associate Head Coach and recruiting coordinator. He's been with Godwin 12-13 years, and the associate head coach their for 5-6. Really good recruiter. Maybe he's being offered a head job somewhere?
