We have the number one overall player in the state of NC committed to us this year and have had three since 2020.
Ours just haven't made it or done much once they've got here.
You go look at PG and we get just as much top end talent as UNC does.

I have no problem with UNC winning it. Good for the ACC.
Probably be them and UGA.
New and different teams is a good thing for the sport.
This would not be good for Hart, especially in state recruiting. It's already difficult enough. But carry on.
The ACC office isn't very concerned with our welfare. I could write a book going back to the seventies.
Why would it be difficult for NC State to recruit the state in baseball? Extremely fertile state filled with great talent. Most baseball kids are state school type of guys. They aren't Duke and Wake guys for thr most part. There aren't many better hole states to recruit than NC.
There are also premier travel programs with SCP and the Dirtbags just name a couple. Our staff has long standing relationships with those orgs.
Talk to Coach Avent for starters. We've lost several in state recruits to unc because of facilities, not to mention how many kids grow up unc fans, interview any current player that is a North Carolina kid and ask them. I've seen numerous interviews after games with them glowing about that. I'm older than you and have seen much more with the unc machine.
Once again, you can't see the forest for the trees. You're insufferable.

There's times when we make a major triumph with a in state recruit like Carlos Rodon, but by and large unc has had a monopoly at certain high schools in the state, going back several years. Rocky Mount high school was a perfect example for years.
unc is also a recruiting threat regionally. They do well out of state, which will constantly be challenging for us to maintain ground.
We've lost several recruits in state because of draft status that never make it to campus.

There are at least 20 high end P4 guys out of this state each year. UNC may get 5 of them. They currently have what 2 in their lineup? Again you aren't seeing the forest for the trees
Where UNC is excelling right now is recruiting high end NC arms. . If we can do the same we will be in good shape. It seems Hart teams always hit. Oh and our facilities are fine. Players care about faciiites but ours are fine for the ACC. What they really value is technology to help them develop and compete.

Isn't that the case for every school that recruits top shelf recruits?
