I am as big of an Avent defender as there is but not using Nance Friday and not starting him this weekend is inexcusable.
Especially concerning Garino has blown saves in the previous two weekends.
Could be going for the sweep today.

Right. I'd rather have Nance come in in the 4th or 5th and try to go the distance than have him start and have to try to piece together the last couple high leverage innings

I would love to chase this pitcher off the mound. With as many arms as they threw the last few days, and a lot of bad ones too, I can't imagine what is behind him is very good.

If Wiggins aggressively calls for and goes and catches the ball we are out of the inning unharmed. Obviosuly he's in the lineup to hit - but that was his ball.

Correct. He has looked shaky on all three of his chances out there. His fielding ability does not give me the warm fuzzies.

It will be interesting to watch how quickly State transitions their recruiting philosophy. Give me the 88-90 HS guy who can pitch and I can build his velo to 92-93 with a college nutrition and weigh room over the showcase guy who can hit 95 but can't pitch for ***** Right now, the P4 approach overwhelmingly is the 95 guy who can't pitch. You see evidence of it everywhere.
Agree. Sam pitched for the South Charlotte Panthers travel program while living in Raleigh. He has filthy stuff and he is extremely competitive. He can pitch.

Huge Wiggins fan here but how the hell do you get hit by a ball hit that weak?
I think Wiggins was in shock there that Bargo made contact against a lefty.
Bad luck there. Did not get a good view of the ball hitting Wiggins so don't know if it took a bad hop into him or not. Wow cost us at least one run, probably two.

That was posted before the replay and when I saw the replay, I corrected, but thank you.
Got to make that play to end the inning. Jeez we can not make anything easy.
Need nance to bow up here with the bases loaded. They made us pay that first game - can't let it happen here.
Should have been out of the inning with no runs scored and then Nance has to throw about 14 extra pitches. This team is scrappy, but they sure make things harder than they have to be.
Got to find a way - just win ugly - however we gotta do it
Just gave an out away on one pitch. What are we doing?
