Tuesday's game vs NC A&T is cancelled

Had to be done...thankful our folks made it happen.
Obviously nothing against NC A&T but when this team has spent weeks fighting through injury after injury - you have to do what gives these guys the best opportunity to play in the postseason.

A little torn, mostly because I enjoy watching baseball on Tuesdays and now I have to find something else to do tomorrow. Our projected end of season RPI if the game was played was pretty much where it is now, and I think what happens in these two weekend series is what is going to make or break our post season chances regardless. That said, if nothing else than for the health of the team this is probably needed.

Didn't UNC just cancel a game against Queens last week? Aren't they a consensus national top 8 seed?
Happens at every level and resume. Teams are always striving to better their RPI whether that is for a top 8 seed, host seed or just making the tournament.
It's just a flaw in the metric.

I know it happens elsewhere. But if you know as a coaching staff these games hurt you, why don't you use that same logic in the full schedule?

Don't remember the opponent, but the series was 1-1 and it seemed like both teams just kind of agreed that neither needed another loss and so there was a rain out with no real attempt at getting the game in .

No inside info but Link Jarrett has built up a reputation at Notre Dame and now FSU that he'll work to get out of games. We had one cancelled at FSU a year or so ago where they straight up chose not to tarp the field even though everyone knew rain was imminent.
