Best thing we can do is find some offense tonight and make them use someone of importance out of the pen while we use the young bucks.
It sucks, but without our guys we will almost always need to sell out for 1 against real teams. I'd almost push Coop to Sunday in order to accomplish that

I dont know why Travis called it a slider. It's a true curveball and pretty killer against lefties. A little surprised we haven't used him in matchup spots more. He's gotten some real dudes out before in serious spots.

In a general sense, considering there are two games remaining in the series, the approach might be to say, "Who cares?' to him potentially hanging a slider. A run-rule loss would save NC State two innings on its bullpen too.
If you said Potts will go through the sixth innng, allow seven runs, and NC State loses without having to play the eighth or ninth, under the circumstances the Wolfpack might be willing to take that just to get out of here and have a better chance tomorrow.

There have now been two plays in the outfield where Nixon runs a mile from second base only to have an outfielder run just a few feet and see the ball land on the ground near both of them to let the Wake Forest hitter reach safely.

It's a shame really due to injury. If Ryan was throwing and this was the offensive output we'd all be pissed, but it's also hard to lock in at the plate down 10 + we've subbed since the 3rd. Need to get out of this weekend with 1.
Have to find a way to compete against VT, Miami, & Stanford. Then see where our starters are health wise.
Long term, it'd be better to sneak into the tournament as a 3 somewhere winnable.

Gonna be unpopular, but if we are going to miss marohn for an extended period of time we need to go Coop/nance/hemrick. Andrews has been a little better this year, but the sample size is big enough, he doesn't miss bats enough at the ACC level
