The Mets are expected to be without Juan Soto for the next 2-3 weeks as he deals with a calf injury.

It's the first time Soto has been on the IL since May of 2021.

Did not know it has been this bad


Since June 13 of last year, the Mets have been on a 107 loss pace.

The Mets don't have a clear timetable yet on Francisco Lindor's calf injury, but they expect him to miss significant time. It's more serious than Juan Soto's was.

Ronny Mauricio is going to get a long run at shortstop to prove himself in Lindor's absence, per Carlos Mendoza.

Mets owner Steve Cohen's heart and wallet have been in the right place, but it hasn't been enough to save the organization.

Cohen said he was confident he would provide the fans with a great team to watch this year.

The Mets have been completely unwatchable instead.

They are correct. It is not. I see a mid-90s loss team (20-to-25 games under .500). There is not nearly enough talent.

The Mets returned home 10 days ago with a 7-15 record, but Juan Soto was coming back, and three very winnable series followed.

They proceeded to go 3-6 against the Twins, Rockies and Nationals, and now Francisco Lindor and Luis Robert Jr. are on the IL.
