I was looking at one of the RPI sites a few weeks back before the FSU series and it had us going 1-5 against FSU and GT. Didn't have us losing the mid week games in between, but two tough series on the road there. Hopefully they've gotten their mojo back.

I would try something. Maybe move Nixon to SS, Sherm to 2nd, and give Novy a shot at 3rd.

There's a reason he got so little run at LSU.

Not to make this a big discussion, but I hate our portal strategy. Give me the guys who killed it at the smaller schools over the big time recruits who couldn't crack the lineup at SEC schools.

Well we got peifer - gold glove kid who hit 305 the year he wasn't hurt and is batting above 300 in a small sample size for us who we inexplicably refuse to play…. So it's not just sec washouts but I understand your point.
