I am following tonight via the stat broadcast. How does Luke Hemric get charged for 2 ER when he left the game with one runner on base (HBP)? Am I missing something?

Maybe because it was 2-0 count with the batter?

Got it. Wasn't aware of the count when they made the pitching change.

Played 28 games and don't have a bullpen arm you can trust. Can't believe the guys who couldn't get innings at other schools aren't killing it for us. Who would've thought?

This team is not good. Won't be making the tournament.
I'm over avent and his decision making. This dude should have never been in the game to pitch.
They won't make the NCAAs with their RPI.
No offense to heintz because he has been fine this year, but a kid who could barely get on the mound in the Ivy League coming in to be an ACC closer means we missed on some evals/not developing guys well

And somebody is going to have to explain to me why you don't yank a guy with a one run lead in the ninth at the first sign of trouble. Letting them tie it up is one thing. But to just leave him out there for three run inning seems crazy to me.
I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet but lose this Notre dame series with as week as our nonconference schedule was, and we are pretty much done.

This is tough. Seems like more than just a slump at this point. It might unfortunately be who they are.
Count me out for the rest of this year. I've watched every inning of every game. Basically wasted a week of my life. Had we scheduled anyone with a pulse maybe we'd have a better RPI and would have figured some things out sooner. At this point it's just a sad send off for Avent. And I really hope we conduct a full search for our next guy and don't just hand it over to CH.
This is a disaster

Well obviously I would rather bring in prime Mariano Rivera But that isn't an option and we have seen what Collins Black has done in these situations.
Nance wasn't dressed out. So honestly I don't know who you would go to but I am not a fan of bringing a guy in with the bases loaded.
Why was Nance not brought in 9th to close the game. This team is not coach well. Boo will need to a search at years end
