I would have no problem with this. But do you dare try that lineup you ended the GT game with?

Novy at 1st, Bargo at 3rd, McHugh in the outfield, Wiggins DH?

It probably won't happen because you are sacrificing so much defense but this team needs as much firepower in lineup as you can get and this would be the game to try something like this

Absolutely with the way this team is hitting you have to put your 9 best hitters out there and worry about defense later. Just my opinion I don't think Pieffer will give you enough with the bat to make him an everyday option.

Also I can admit when I am wrong. You were right about Wiggins he needs to be in that lineup somewhere. My question would be, is Wiggins' glove that bad that McHugh would play the outfield over him? Did Wiggins play the field at Indiana? Or did he just DH

Also at what point do you look at other options for Mikey Ryan

What other options are there? Nixon? Who do you put at 2nd?


The only realistic option you have to add to the middle is Serrano but I just don't know if he is too far behind with swing volume at this point to be helpful or not.

I'm not sure what Wiggins did there but yes it's bad enough that I would just DH him at this point without other great options. If you're trying to get Novy in the lineup you can have him fake it out there. As for Ryan, if it's not Serrano (if Serrano can't play over Ryan it's concerning) it would have to be Nixon. But then what do you do at second? Could Rett fake it at second? I really don't know what they do at this point. It seems like this is an identity crisis for them because they don't seem to know who they want to play and we're halfway through the season

Man watching us play is just completely joyless right now. Can't imagine how frustrated our guys must be. We are clueless at the plate pretty much across the entire lineup these last 6-8 games. Stupid base running mistakes- really bad in all phases except pitching. We are better than this but wow, this is just awful baseball.

I just don't get it at this point, we keep rolling out the same lineup hoping for better results. Maybe some of these guys are terrible in practice but damn shake it up.
