Mainieri out at South Carolina

After a slow start and an abysmal 2025, @GamecockBasebll has parted ways with head coach Paul Mainieri

Not surprised. I live in Columbia, and I think there were less than 100 people at the last ballgame. They have really struggled since Tanner took over as AD.

Tanner resigned as AD in December, 2024

Tanner isn't the AD any longer.

Yes I know. Point still stands that they have struggled in baseball since he stepped down and moved to the AD role several years ago. He is no longer the AD. I believe he stepped down in 2024. They have not been the same and the enthusiasm in the program has dropped way off.

they have an awesome baseball facility that is being wasted on bad baseball right now.
