I know it was somehow a hot take against Lafayette but once again disappointed in our hitting against the starting pitching (& relief)
Loosing is one thing but being shut out twice before league play. That doesn't raise any concerns?

Kind of at a loss for words. Throw 5 non-mainline guys - hold them to 4 hits and 2 runs and offense gives you nothing.

As for head. Lead off single by Pieffer, Head lays down an awful bunt, 2-6 putout. Then Head steals second, second baseman can't field in cleanly, ball rolls away probably 5-6ft and for some inexplicable reason Head decides to take off and makes the final out at 3rd base.

Feel like the situational baseball hasn't been great for the most part in closer games. Bad bunts, bad base running, defensive situations etc. But it's also hard to do when called on when you have been scoring 10+ runs.
Pitching should keep us in most games but we have to be able to manufacture runs in tight games when the bats aren't alive.

I kind of like him staying in the midweek. There are plenty of of high end midweeks and it keeps him in a starter rhythm for post season when you likely need more than 3 starters
