Hope for the latter but I would imagine it's in effort to not be in the same spot as you were last weekend, if Mahron can't go. But this time the stakes are much higher.

I watched the last two batters, Head and McHugh, and the ump behind the plate has a very wide strikezone. No way that last one on McHugh was a strike.

Assuming you didn't see it. Runner on 1st stealing 2nd on the pitch, Kitchings doesn't try to duck at all and Bonn has to sail it over his head into CF. Runner takes 3rd. Luckily, got a double play to get out of the inning but I don't think it's much to ask your 6'5" pitcher to squat down so the C has a clear throw to 2nd.
