Agreed. He is swinging it so well lately, and he hardly ever strikes out and with him and Johnson I don't see the double play as a threat. I didn't get that.

Bosch is good. Done a nice job driving his pitch count up. Gets slim behind him now with their injuries.

Lefties have not looked good against this guy other than Johnson's bunt, would imagine that's part of it. Head is also fast enough that he could've been trying to bunt for a hit too, just didn't execute well.

Yeah he didn't seem like he was bunting for a hit as he showed bunt early and in the first 2 pitches. Looked like a sac. But agree their pitcher has looked good against lefties.
Guess Bosch is on a pitch count. I'll take it.

That's the most I've seen Nance lean on the changeup. He'd drop it last year in big spots and normally the second time through the order.

Up and down the lineup we have juiced averages thanks to the comp we have played so far, and Lamphere hitting .226, its a small concern as the season gets going. Need him to find a little more at the plate.

It's kind of a known strategy in MLB at this point. MLB umps are starting to call against it

I looked it up. You can't force the guy off the bag, but a normal tag action that results in the hand coming off is legal
