Caught Coach Avent interviewing with the D1 guys on X- some relevant info on this years team:
- Thinks we have enough pitching to be okay. Seems to be looking for someone on the back end
- Dudan working really hard to be a starter. Adding a 3rd pitch, location, etc. Great kid, excited for him
- A few players who have gotten better recently- Fraasman is a MUCH better player this fall. Every part of his game has gotten better. Luke Nixon has taken a step up and gotten better. Drew Lanphere has taken another leap this fall and gotten much better. Cooper Consiglio took a big leap this fall and watching him was a joy.
- Luke Hemric was a freshman that was "extremely impressive". Almost Dom Fritton like. Rett Johnson was unbelievable. Very electric, firecracker. Ragusa was impressive. Collins Black was "extremely, extremely impressive. lights out all fall". Sherman Johnson was extremely impressive. Wyatt P from JMU was very good.
- Head and McHugh are steady, great years last year, still growing and getting better.
- Dalton Bargo (after talking about how good he is on the field)- he is going to make a huge impact in the locker room. Mikey Ryan played a great shortstop this fall, and offensively he got better and better and better. Ryan has a chance to do special things at NC State.

Just saw that posted. Great listen. Now give the man a new or extended contract.

A little shy on lefty arms. I think we have 4 on the roster. I assume Marohn and Consiglio are two of your weekend starters unless Nance bumps out Consiglio. That doesn't leave much lefty help in the pen. I'm curious how Peissel is coming along. On the offensive side, I'm also interested to see if we get anything out of Wiggins this year with the potential he has.

I'd bet on Heath Andrews getting the first look at a weekend spot. Think he could be an okay Sunday guy, but he certainly needs to improve

Don't love that. Andrews is fine but I feel like we need to upgrade in the Sunday spot

Damn Wake has a Trajekt? One of only two programs in the country with one.
Look good. Perform better.

Veteran pitching and a returning core give @NCStateBaseball stability – and if the newcomers click and its strong collection of junior arms hits its ceiling, the Wolfpack could be dangerous.
