Admissions? That's still a thing?

Why are you more excited by Wiggins than Bargo? Bargo's counting stats are much better.

Bargo: .272 with 14 homers and 40 RBIs
Wiggins: .256 with 4 homers and 24 RBIs

It's purely the prospect of our staff unlocking Wiggins potential into a Day 1 pick. Wiggins is one tweak away from being insanely good.

I love the Bargo pickup too! My only negative is that he strikes out too much, but if he can give us 14 homers I can handle it I think.

As metcalf said, Wiggins has special tools, just is a tweak or two away from being a top 100 draft pick.

If he unlocks that, and Bargo and cut the K rate down a little bit, this team could be very good

I say all that and the staff could turn Bargo into the next AMak.

Baseball talk is so weird. "has special tools" "a tweak or 2 away" "If he unlocks that"

I don't know what any of that means. Sounds like scout lingo.

How about...he doesn't get enough hits, doesn't hit for power, or is not clutch. He needs time in the weight room and the cage. That's tangible.

One small tweak in someone's swing can change everything about a hitter. For instance, they go from a leg kick to a toe tap. Wiggins metrics suggest he doesn't swing enough, get him swinging at pitches in the zone more and it may lead to more output/power.

I am a baseball guy and I agree with your comments. There are plenty of guys with tools who just aren't good baseball players. Alot of what happens in the box is between the ears. Not saying anything about Wiggins he may be great but there are tons of guys who have a great swing and hit the ball out of the ballpark all day in BP but can't hit for **** when the real bullets fly. Mental toughness and hand-eye coordination are tools that are tough to measure.

Talk with Wiggins is for him to have a more aggressive approach at the plate. He walks more than he strikes out, odd given his power projections.

Good insight. If that's true I'm not sure you ever gain that. Guess it's wait and see.

Love that combo.

Good bat to ball skills and a ton of power. It is literally just a matter of time before it clicks.

No idea what these latest additions are getting but Sosa leaving definitely freed up some NIL money.

State's not the first team to overpay a Sosa

We have been spoiled at the catcher position! Sosa just did not measure up offensively or defensively to the standard. Too many bases stolen against him, too many passed balls, and not enough plate production IMHO.
