COMMIT ALERT: NC State Adds Duke Pitcher Collins Black

NC State has landed a commitment from Duke freshman pitcher Collins Black.

Black had a bullpen role in 2025 with the Blue Devils, striking out 18 batters in 9.1 innings.  

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder played his high school ball locally at Cary (NC) High School and has three years of eligibility remaining. 

Inside Pack Sports will have more shortly from Black on his decision!

That slider looks like a great addition to the bullpen. Not a lot of experience but helps with the loss of a guy like Wimbush.
