In fairness Nance gave up one earned in 2.2, Dom couldn't throw a strike - Dudan just got hit hammered. But after all the sliders it was dang near predictable.

Yeah, this ain't the reason that Avent would need to step away...his views on NIL, that's probably it.ChemE94 said:Slobbering_Wolf said:

Ain't over yet. Young team. If we don't have mass nil defections, there's a lot to like about next season.

Why? Because his pitchers that have pitched great for most of the year suddenly got hit? Dom and Dudan not being able to get anyone from Stetson out over two games is somehow his fault?
You guys put way too much emphasis on Avent. At this point, all he can do is make out the lineup. It's up to the kids to perform.

Is Ryder Woodson good now?
You know who did get to see him? The coaching staff. Weird, I know. Hahawbkook said:Borowolf10 said:

Was he ever bad? We never got to see him so who knows.

This is why pitching off yesterday should've been the play.
We essentially played to go 1-2. Game is far from over, obviously, but this was the wrong approach.
Wasn't meant to be a burn...wbkook said:CLTWolf said:You know who did get to see him? The coaching staff. Weird, I know. Hahawbkook said:Borowolf10 said:

I mean did you see the pitch McHugh swung at on 2-0. Just selfish at bats. Gotta be patient and swing at good pitches.
We have chased bad pitching all weekend

I mean any other position i might agree with you. But Hevner has been brutal all year at the plate. Didnt use Jarros cause his fielding was suspect. Ok. The fact that you still kept going with Hevner and not at least giving your freshman a look in more than 3 games up until now should be questioned. Just sticking with Hevner all season should be questioned. And especially with how this team has struggled to find runs the last month. I dont think thats out of bounds to discuss.
