Makes sense. By RPI we are the worst 2 seed (which surprised me, but we slipped about 10 spots the last week). And Stetson (62) is 3rd worst 3 seed via RPI ahead of ECU (66) and Rhode Island (68).

I think most here have seen this team play like a top 10-15ish team, and a team that is in the 50s (or worse). Just depends on who shows up

I saw a stat where it said this team has the highest differential between runs scored at home vs runs scored on the road of anyone in the country.

Not saying that's the end all be all. But I'm not sure going on the road to an SEC environment is ideal.

Yeah I was a little confused by the statement. Having said that, we were likely going on the road and likely to an SEC (if not Coastal) so all things considered Auburn is preferable to me compared to some of the other options that were out there.

Having seen them play a few times this season, Auburn's team actually reminds me a lot of our team last season. Better than average pitching, power throughout the lineup with a couple of big bats, and really good defensively. Their catcher has an absolute cannon arm too. While I think they are overseeded, it will be a tall task to beat Auburn if we are fortunate enough to get by Stetson and their ace on Friday. I will also say that I hate our pitching in their ballpark. The short left field fence and the way the wind blows, there will be some w t f home runs there this weekend. Hopefully we get the best versions of fritton/marohn and score some runs early on Friday and Saturday!

Stetson has a guy with a sub 2 ERA. I'm sure we get him so I don't feel like we can just look past them...
