Crazy that the Regular season ACC champ didn't get a host.

Whats crazy is UVA was preseason #1 and didn't even make the tournament. Thats some underachieving.

Yeah, if we played in that conference, I'm sure EA would have a bunch of conference titles too. Good for them though, to win it in an otherwise down year.

That ECU staff is very good.
LOL... reverence for the coach with better facilities and 0 CWS... who lost his home regional to Evansville. You really only see green grass on your neighbors' lawns, don't you?

I am just telling you dude there are some studs on that staff and what they do at ECU is much more difficult than the State job. They simply don't have access to the same talent that State does.
BS. You are simply self-loathing as a State fan. ECU has baseball coming out their butts. It's the only thing they've been consistently good at and they've leaned in for years now.

I read a lot of the post game threads for their boards because of a family connection. It's funny that their fans seem to think CG micromanages and makes a LOT of wrong calls. Sounds familiar to criticisms we hear around here.
ECU gets plenty of talent for their roster. Maybe not from the portal but their HS is good. And their facilities are better than ours.

Their HS recruiting is good because they put in the work and identify the little bit under the radar talent that doesn't maybe light up the showcase gun or hit a certain exit velo but they are dudes that can play.

Even crazier. Preseason overall #1 and didn't make it. Portal really must be screwing up the evaluation process.

You are 100% right.

Wait. I'm told that NC has as much HS talent in the state as the likes of GA, FL, TX, etc yet ECU isn't getting any of that talent? Wut?

ECU was routinely signing kids in the top 25 in the state, never mind they do a really good job in the tidewater region of VA as well up north in PA. They dabble in FL as well, just like every school in the south.

Their instate 'crootin has fallen off a bit the last 3 years or so but they were signing some real dudes there for a while 3-4 years ago. Hell, they're still signing kids ranked nationally in the top 150-250 each year.

They had some injuries to some big players that hurt them mainly in the pitching staff. Still had enough talent to overcome and be a really good team but just didn't. A guy like Harrison Didawick was awful this year while he was really good last year hitting 23 bombs. I think he had some injury stuff too.
