Not a single MLB team would throw a reliever 3 days in a row. Not a single one. Especially in the weather you saw this weekend in Pitt. It was a puzzling decision and needs to be criticized. It was malpractice

Yeah batts went to sleep last two days. Not much from middle of the lineup. Luckily Pitt kind of gifted some runs yesterday.

McFarland never pitched 3 days in a row and it was playoffs in the other scenario. Not even remotely comparable. UNC and Duke don't use their bullpen arms 3 days in a row. Nobody does. Because it's bad coaching and not effective.

When is the last time we ran a reliever out there 3 days in a row in a weekend series? I can't ever remember it… and there's a reason for that

Well Oakland certainly didn't play in the postseason and there's at least 3 different stretches where he pitched 3 in a row.

And UNC especially uses guys 3 days in a row lol. Dalton Pence pitched in like 70% of their games

It's really not that big of a deal. Especially considering the pitch counts…
