Our entire athletic department is just full of losers.

I was impressed with Liberty in general.

Our midweek woes continue
Outside of our pitching staff there were 7 players that didn't play. All were Freshman or Sophmore's. Who would you have PH with there Coach?Borowolf10 said:

Biggest takeaway so far for me has been defensively. Not nearly good enough right now. Particularly need to see more from Decriscio and McHugh.
The 9th was sloppy by Dudan for sure, but he got out of it at least 3 times. Twice with a double play grounder and once with a bad call behind home plate. Could've overcome the calls with better defense.
But you move on. This one won't matter at all. Think Liberty will be an RPI help for us. Good ball club.

Way too early for any national seed talk. We gotta figure out what we have. Dudan may not be suited for the 9th right now, how long is his leash?

A ton of leash, but he's going to be fine. And this game will have zero impact on a national seed.
State has pitched phenomenally outside of Dudan and Willadsen. Those guys are going to be more than ok.

Is it too much to ask for one single team in the entire athletic department to take care of business?

A loss sucks but as we showed last year weekday games basically don't matter

Like 2 Final 4's and a CWS in the last 10 months?
This sentence is certainly an interesting opinion...ClePack said:Alex Gee said:ClePack said:KDHpack said:

Luxury with this year's depth is we do not need willy.

I'm not sure about what I'm seeing from DeCriscio so far...is he just that SoCal smooth or has he been a lil lackadaisical at times? There's been a couple balls to him that I thought he should've charged harder in the first couple games. Because he's waited back, he's made the plays harder than they should've been (IMO). That DP ball was tough with the runner "hiding" the ball a bit but it's still a play that he's made a million times, even if he's just getting the out at first.Alex Gee said:

People losing their minds b/c of a loss in game 4 of 50-60 games is wild but mad fans gonna mad fan.
Definitely some things to improve upon but there's a lot of youth playing right now that will get better. And like jtilley said, tough to play ball when it's so cold.
yeah, it's definitely nitpicking on my end but we've been spoiled at SS at State so I'm a bit more critical, unfortunately. lolAlex Gee said:CLTWolf said:I'm not sure about what I'm seeing from DeCriscio so far...is he just that SoCal smooth or has he been a lil lackadaisical at times? Have a text from a good buddy, who might see this post, that says "DiCriscio sits back on the ball forever at SS - gives me anxiety". That was from the weekend games.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt early. He was a great defender at his last stop and is coming off a hamstring in the preseason. Plus he's hitting .700. It's mostly nitpicking because of how spoiled we were with Butterworth last season

8 errors last year in 49 games, 9 the year before in 44 games, two errors from from April on last year. If he was out with a hamstring that makes a lot of sense, I'd imagine he settles in as things go on.Alex Gee said:CLTWolf said:I'm not sure about what I'm seeing from DeCriscio so far...is he just that SoCal smooth or has he been a lil lackadaisical at times? Is it wrong? Pitching is our *assumed* strong suite. We have options if willy isn't 100% (don't expect him to be, tommy John is no joke)
