Not sure how many MLB fans we have around here but figured it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to off season moves for anyone to discuss.

Everyone's waiting on the Soto decision to really get the ball rolling, sounds like a decision maybe within a week or so and coming down to the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox and Blue Jays from what I've read.

Notable moves so far :

Severino to the A's 3 years $67 million in what their GM claims is a "statement deal" as they move to their new home.

Clay Holmes to the Mets 3 years $38 million and being moved to the starting rotation.

Aroldis Chapman to the Red Sox $10 million 1 year.

Matthew Boyd to the Cubs for 2 years $29 million.

Frankie Montas to the Mets 2 years $34 million.

Edman stays with the dodgers 5 years $74 million.

Snell to the Dodgers 5 years $182 million.

Travis d'Arnaud to the angels 2 years $12 million.

Royals lock up wacha 3 years $51 million.

Angels trade griffin Canning to the Braves for Jorge Soler.

Angels add Yusei Kikuchi to the rotation for 3 years $63 million.

Juan Soto is a Met!

15 years 765 million! Opt out option after year 5.

Willy Adames is a Giant. 7 years $182 million.

As a Yankee fan I hate to lose him. He's a talented hitter. But I'm glad they didn't overpay for him. Yankee's have a lot of glaring issues that need filling.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

As a Met fan I'm in gleeful disbelief. The Mets have always overpaid but usually for guys past their prime. A 26 year old heading into his prime?? That's a new one.

Mets have holes still for sure - but exciting!

Max Fried to the Yanks 8 years $218 million

Phillies sign closer Romano 1 year $8.5 million

Gimenez traded from Cleveland to Toronto.

Eovaldi gets 3 years $75 million to stay with Texas

Rangers also acquire Marlins 1st baseman Jake Berger in a trade.

Red Sox get Garrett Crochet from the White Sox for a haul of highly touted prospects.

Starting pitching contracts have come in longer and higher than maybe expected it seems.

Thanks for everything, Max. Very glad the Braves didn't (and couldn't) pay that.

Glad to have Burger away from the Braves - he rakes
