On another note, decent podcast from (one of) TOS that had Sam Highfill on the back half. Good to hear from him. Good things to say about arm talent on this squad. Sounds like we will see a ton of arms early (as i'd expect honestly). Getting close...

I know everyone is concerned about the bats. But the way I see it, there is roughly 13 guys for 9 spots. Someone is going to emerge. I think the offense will be fine.tau06 said:

I do too. We have 4 guys with a lot of experience in Nixon, Decriscio, Sosa, Hogue. Can almost put McHugh in here too since he has a year starting at the D1 level even though at a lower level (very high on him).
After that, we have JUCO bats in Jet and Fraasman, both of those dudes put up great numbers.
Then for the transfers we have 3 very highly ranked kids. I think Jaros could be very good, Lyons has very unique skill set, and Ossenfort has big power.
Following that up with Drew Lanphere who can really handle the bat, and Ty Head, the highest ranked kid on the team, I am very confident we can get 6-8 high level bats in the lineup. All the power of last year? Probably not- but should be more athletic.

SS: DeCriscio
LF: Fraasman

RF: Hogue (Healthy)/Lyons
DH: Lanphere
SP: Fritton/Willadsen(Healthy)/Marohn. Consiglio starts for Matt if not ready to go.
I think Lanphere could play some left that weekend. Hogue & Jaros could also just DH if not ready to go in the field yet. Lyons can play multiple spots.
Going to be a fun team. I think Dom is going to have a big season. Also think Heavner continues to be a guy that you just can't take out of the game.

Jaros was playing the field in scrimmages this fall, so he will be fine there. He wasn't cleared to swing the bat until mid October

I think you could see Lyons get the first crack at CF, if Houge is healthy.
