Would not want the Pack having to go to ECU for a regional. Not much good can come of that.

Exactly. I don't mind playing them as the home team with that built-in advantage you earn being a host. However, the committee shouldn't penalize the (projected) 2-seed by putting somewhere where the locals will pull against them just as much as they cheer for their own team. Are there other examples where that's been done in other regionals? Still a long way to go, but seems like the pundits try to talk this into existence any time ECU is a projected host and State isn't.

The committee loves putting teams together like that.

From those projections:
Texas @ Texas A&M
Florida @ FSU
Nebraska @ Oklahoma

I don't want to play in Greenville because of the camera angles lol.

Meh. You can win and go to Supers. That's pretty good. I'm not scared of them at all.

After the 16 regional hosts, geography is a factor in where the #2, #3, #4 seeds are sent.

The rules of thumb i have heard
1. Cannot have teams in same conference in regional. I think this is real rule and not just rule of thumb.
2. Since NCAA pays travel costs, less than 400 miles is bus and greater than 400 miles is flight. Travel cost is a factor.

As for examples
. 2023
Charlotte and Campbell in Clemson regional
Wright State in Terre Haute regional
Oral Robert's in Stillwater regional
Indiana and Ball State in Lexington regional
Tulane in Baton Rouge regional
Cal State Fullerton and San Jose State in Palo Alto regional
Wilmington and Duke in Conway regional
Troy in Tuscaloosa regional
Florida A&M in Gainesville regional
